Getting fired from C- prestige Topic

So I'm at a C- prestige D1 team in Tark, this is my 2nd season, my 1st was pretty solid 20+ wins. But this season I'm 0-4 and I'd be surprised if I win double digit games and next season won't be much better. How long will I have to turn things around with this school? I'm guessing I'll have a few years since the prestige is pretty low, but I just want to make sure.

It is very difficult to get fired in general, and particularly from a school like Hampton. The bare minimum you would have is four seasons, but w. your first season, that's not going to happen. Basically, you have absolutely nothing to worry about at this point.

Cool, thanks. Just wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to turn things around.

I saw some guy in the Big Sky didn't have a winning season, no post season bids, no conference championships or tournament championships for 13 seasons. It took him that long to get canned.

in tark at kentucky, the coach there went like 6 seasons with no post season, then made the pit, then it took 2 more with no post season to get fired. i might be off by 1 season somewhere but it was at least 8, probably 9 with 1 pit and 0 nt appearances. so, you have NOTHING to worry about :)

A mid-major, on the other hand, isn't as forgiving. Started out with a C at Brown in a tough Ivy in Allen. After 6 seasons with only two losing seasons and two post-season appearances, I'm in jeopardy.

being in jeopardy is one thing, getting fired is another entirely. Look at Vanderbilt in Allen. If that don't get you fired, then nothing short of complete suckitude will.

For those of you not in Allen, in the last 13 seasons, Vandy has lost in the first rnd of the PT one time. Zero NT berths, conference championships, CT championships, etc. 1 PT berth in 13 seasons in the SEC. So I don't think you need to worry. (granted Vandy has had some 15-13 type years with 100-120 rpi's, but that's not great.

(And I am not advocating that vandydave get fired, just trying to show it is hard to get fired)
