...does anyone know if someone has created spreadsheet(s) akin to what we have for gridiron dynasty? (www.gdreports.com)

...would love to have something along these lines and wondered if there is anything out there already before i try to make one myself...

thanks!

Not that I have ever read about no. Neat idea! Good luck with it.

im not sure what those spread sheet programs do for GD. it looks like they might have stuff for team management as well as recruiting tools?

i used to use a program i made that takes as input pages (one at a time) of recruit page results (i.e. 50 recruits at a time), with the ratings display, and parses out each player and their ratings/potential. it neglects ft% and gpa as neither are on that page, as well as the ranking of the player (which would be very useful in d2). i never automated it to pull the recruits itself, so i would copy the source in myself, but a little more work could automate the whole process. once the recruits are in, you can sort them according to pretty much arbitrarily complex formulas... i would break it down into a few components, like for a big man, offense, defense, rebounding, and other, and the total. that way i could select from the best guys, the type of guy i needed to play the role. you could have as many sets of formulas as you liked and the editor was built in, although it was not perfect.

anyway, if you would be willing to do the work to automate the input of recruits, and grab the other couple pieces of information (i'd be willing to help with that part even), id be happy to share the rest (except the actual formulas to rank players). i have gotten too lazy to use the program myself, but if it had those couple fixes, i would definitely use it, and might even pick up a d3 team again... i just hate the monotony of sorting through so many recruits. its not as bad as it was before potential when you could recruit nationally but still... if a program would just tell me the top 5 recruits in my local states and i could pick i'd like recruiting much better :)
