Play an injured player at 60%??? Topic

Player was injured second game in and dropped to 40 percent. Now the sim will allow me to play him and he is up to 60 percent, but I usually wait until he is at least 70 percent. The problem is, without him, the frontcourt of my press is really inexperienced and would only have 2 players with A or better D iq. Has anyone played a player with quite low health?

Being at 60% doesn't increase his injury risk anymore than being at 100%. His durability is at 73, so the chances of getting injured again are very slim, unless they have changed something recently.

Put him in for 10-15 minutes, but he won't have the stamina to play his regular minutes.

I see you are playing FCP/uptempo, so he'll only probably be any good for 8-10 minutes.

I never have and never would. It is too risky, to me, to put him out there and have him get hurt worse. Also he would play at roughly 60% of his skill level and that is no help. You will just have to get creative with what you have and ride it out until he is at least 80%.

Wiz, until the new engine comes out, durability only affects recovery rate - not injury rate.

I don't know about somebody not being more likely to get injured because of their health only at 60%. One time I rushed a guy back from injury and he reinjured himself while his health was at something like 68%. Injuries don't happen very often and it seems like quite a coincidence for the same player to get hurt a few games apart and the second time when his health was nowhere near 100%.

Most of this is not correct.

It is supposed to increase his chance of further injury. Durability does not have any bearing on whether a player gets injured. Playing a guy with 60 health for 15 mins is definitely not a good idea. I wouldn't play him at all. nbs, any advantage you get from his iq will be negated by his ineffectiveness playing w. a 60 health.

EDIT: I see Weena beat me to it on some of this.

This was under the FAQ's. However, I was not aware that it also had to do with recovery rate.

Durability refers to their likelihood of injury and if they do get injured, how quickly they can recover.

Thx. for the feedback guys. I figured leaving him on the bench for a few more was the best option. I just got a little concerned after losing to a sim..

wiz - that is what the FAQ say, but that isnt how it works - in various dev chats and otherwise admin has indicated that DUR does not affect likelihood of injury

Not true. Although mostly random, DUR does have a small impact on the chance of the initial injury. Feel free to write CS yourself, but that is the response I was given a while ago.

Didn't they update the engine a while back making injuries and DUR affect stamina as well?
