Increase in sim AI recruiting? Topic

I put 9 recruits on my watch list and 7 of them have a sim AI on their list before the start of recruiting. Has anybody had anything similar happen. I'm guessing that there isn't an increase in sim AI, but just bad variance for me with having the recruits I wanted getting targeted.

On another note how can you tell if a recruit is a priority for the sim AI? Do I have to wait for the first FSS update or can I tell by the team's roster.

What this might mean is that you arent going after good enough recruits.

Or too good, in this case I'm a D2 school going targeting only guys on the D1 list. I decided to still contact all of the recruits and only 1 that was already considering a D1 school actually gave me the backup email.

The SIM is definately recruiting more aggressively on the last day of signings. Twelve recruits on the last day in Tark I tried to recruit had a D2 SIM on them the same cycle :(

Three of the guys never wound up signing and went JUCO too...

my advice is walk away from all of them considering a sim D1.

I don't recall ever seeing a D1 sim drop a recruit and have him open to D2 teams. You could try to wrestle one away but be prepared to spend $20k+.

As you probably know, sims recruit all the players within a block of 40-50 recruits. ie.. the 120th-170th PG. I think them targeting the guys you were looking at means, at least for this season, you were just looking a bit over the D2 ceiling.

I also don't believe that sims do a second round of recruiting. Actually it's the recruits that lower their expectations and are willing to consider a team that spent a lesser amount.

I've had numerous recruits that wouldn't consider me after initial efforts only to start considering me after the signings start. Similiar to how sims suddenly appear on a recruit late in recruiting.

I disagree with this. If the guy is a priority for the D1 school then your right. But I've taken a D1 recruit for less than 10k in the past. And right now the recruit considering a D1 school that gave me the backup message, I took the lead and haven't even spent 6k.
