Fastest DIII Team Topic

My Tark team has plenty of holes, but for starting out the season, does anybody have a faster DIII team? I sure hope speed kills this year!!

My Alfred team was faster. All 5 guards had 80+ speed with 2 above 90. I also had a SF with 60 ath 87 speed. My bigs all had 50+ speed including one with like 70/70. Our team average was pushing 70. Your team is fast though. Also, mine was before potential for what its worth.

Yeah, I really don't think we can compare pre-potential to current rosters, but that's a real fast team, furry.

Broker's team is also real fast. Obviously, the guards aren't the fastest, but the bigs are real fast for D3.

That team is definitely up there. And yea you can't compare pre potential and post potential. Pre potential D3 players were way better.

Broker did you only recruit for speed lol? My Lawrence team a couple seasons ago had faster guards, but I don't think my posts were that fast. That's pretty impressive

I did recruit for speed, but didn't ignore position skills. I run the Triangle, and don't have a dominate LP or REB number so there is a little sacrifice there, but hoping to tire some teams out...We'll see how it goes. I'm no COY, but have turned this St Mary's team around pretty good.

im not sure your team was that fast, furrdude. your kids were far more athletic, but i think these guys are a smidge faster,,, especially the bigs.

as i recall, furry, your team realied almost solely on athsp. this team seems more well rounded. at least thats the way i remmeber it. not trying to hate on your team furr, it was a great one to be sure, but i dont think they were quite as fast as this one on average.

nice job! that team is about as fast as i've seen, overall. i think central in d3 tark might have had a couple teams slightly faster, or at least, right around there, about 5-7 months ago. they one multiple championships with those teams though, so there would be no shame in being slightly slower ;) i would be surprised if any team this season was faster though. im not sure you can build a quality d3 team that is more than slightly faster than that overall... i surly haven't seen the players for it, at least :)

on the other hand, i would say weighted speed, you can see a little faster (although your teams still has GREAT weighted speed). by weighted, i mean that guard speed should count for more than big man speed, because it is significantly more important. i had a howard payne team a couple seasons back that was decently faster, weighted, IMO. their guards were actually noticeably quicker (and there is certainly room for more speed in your guards), but their bigs were a good bit slower. thinking back to the other top teams that year (that was the last time i played d3), i would say yours was at least on par with the fastest teams, weighted. so i would think this year, weighted speed, there might be a couple teams in your stratosphere but i doubt anyone has you beat by a meaningful amount.

Agreed, billyg. I have faster guards:

(I haven't recruited yet)

But my bigs aren't even close. That's really where you separate yourself.

Bing (Central) put together some incredible squads. Agreed.
