As Rupp launches its new recruiting period, a brother be shoppin around for new blood at UConn. (A little school reasonably well-known in the northeastern part of the country.)

Among 472 recruits in NY, CT, NJ, NH, and MD, two (count 'em, TWO!) recruits list UConn as their preferred school.

And those two are (drum roll please...) a 447 SF from CT and a 491 Center from MD!

What's up wit dat?

I think it is because everyone (except for 2 rubes) knows that the criteria the coach sets are so high that they cannot possibly meet his standards. I mean come on, how many kids can learn to dance like Travolta, cook like Emeril, discuss the storyline of Bold and Beautiful with empathy, and tear down and reassemble a MSAR STG-556 Assault Rifle blindfolded while hanging by their ankles. That's why no one (except for 2 rubes) lists that little ol' school as their fav.

But it's fer there own good. Dogget molds Renaissance Men, not just ballers.

They are trying to even the playing field a tad.
