I am trying to figure out what the 40-man rules are going to be like after the next update. I realize there was a thread about this, but it some questions unanswered for me.

In MLB, if a player is on the 40-man roster and out of options then he must clear waivers in order to be removed from the 40-man. Is that also true for a player that has options remaining? I know a player that has options remaining can be sent to the minors without going through waivers, but it's not clear to me if they can be pulled off the 40-man roster as well.

I wonder if Admin is going to allow minor league players on the 40-man to start the year in the minors without passing through waivers. I hope they fix that loophole as well.

Options just have to do with being able to be sent to the minors if you are on the 40-man.

Okay, cool. I think you are correct, which would make HBD much more interesting I think. Right now, putting someone on the 40-man roster is not a big deal.
