If you give three scoutign reports, and on the first two it mentions "YOua re definitely a backup". . . and on the third it doesn't mention you being a backup at all, does that mean he is actually considering you at that point?>

No. If he begins considering you, it will tell you under "considering".

Just to be sure though, what exactly did the 3rd email say?

It was just a normal evaluation. I know he isn;t CONSIDERING me, but I wanted to figure out if that meant he woudl accept inducements other than scoutign trips.

First two included this line at the end:


BTW, I saw the list of other coaches that were at the game, we're not really even in their league. We are pretty securely a backup option with this kid.

When a prospect stops considering you as a back-up and now is willing to talk he will normally send something saying he is now in your league, etc., etc. You'll know. There is a big difference, though, in a prospect that has dropped down and will take visits, etc. from DII or DIII and a player that is considering YOU.
