First time in D1 recruiting. I had a recruit hit me with some positive news in the last scholarship offer message:

"Coach, it's down to a handful of schools - you're on my very short list. I just can't say yes right now until I've made my final campus visits. At it stands right now, you're my top choice though."

Then I got,
"Coach, I'm very impressed with your program. I actually had a dream last night that I was on my way to my first class there - maybe it's a sign. You know I'm a Virgo, right?"
after a CV...

Any chance this guy signs without any more recruiting effort? Or a more general question would be... Are there recruits that wait to sign even though they are "sold"? Or will they sign only when they are actually "sold" and in that first cycle that has sold them? little help, thanks in advance

personally...if he's still considering other schools, then in my opinion that means he isn't sold to your school. I'd continue recruiting him and "check up" on him to see where you stand.

if nobody else makes a late push, you win.

Not true, when you're in a battle guys generally keep both schools on his list until he signs. The only time this doesn't happen is if you overspend, or if the other school takes measures to get off his list.

In this case it seems you're good to go, you don't need to make anymore effort barring like colorblind said a late push.
