I'll bet this idea has already been thrown out there before, but wouldn't it be cool to have 2-3 reserve players? I think it would add a great deminsion to the game, and open up a lot of redshirt options. Wouldn't every body like to have an extra scholarship or two?

I'm not asking for more money.Just more scholarships, that way schools with plenty of over cash can pick up an extra player. You wouldn't have to sign these players, or accept walk-ons to fill the scholarship (the min. of 12 players would stay). Also, these 'reserve' players wouldn't play unless they are listed on the 12-man roster (which means you would switch someone else out).

I don't know, maybe everyone else isn't that into the idea. I'm just throwing out suggestions.

I dont see this falling under the "great dimension" category.

People don't even go 12 deep right now is all. Also, this is something that would make the top schools snap up even more recruits leaving less depth for everyone else.

Think about it this way if there is just 20 schools from A+/A and they all have 2-3 extra sports thats an extra 40-60 players that will not being falling through the cracks to the A-/B+/B/B-

Then the thing is when the B's get done grabbing their extra guys there would not be anything but trash over for the C's and D's of the world meaning they more than likely would never be able to compete.
