Method ONE

Trade Rape - the intentional trading of a POS player for a useful player, accomplished either by offering the POS to a new owner (Newbie or NooB) or to an alias

Details of Technique: This is the fastest way to FUBAR a league because it both enriches your team while impoverishing another. The best way to get started is to find a public league with several openings and at least 2 decent teams. Sign up for the best team and use an "alias" to sign up the other. Over the course of the season execute 2 or 3 trades of the trade rape type with your alias. But be careful because some owners are on the watch for alias. If you sense this back off and have your alias keep the team for another year. If no one seems to suspect, then drop the alias team after one year and repeat with a new alias and a new team the next. Keep an eye out for a gullible newbie as you may get a trade rape bonus if there is one present. The second year hope that a newbie picks up your alias team and trade rape them some more. Trade raping your alias is referred to as masterbation. Trade raping a newbie is usually referred to just as trade rape. What ever you do deny deny deny.

Mehtod Two

Tanking - this method is not as rapid or effective as it takes several years to accumulate the picks and IFA to become a dynasty but also you are not directly making another team worse. However in the absence of an alias it is a reasonable way to start and as you fill you minor leagues you can branch into trade rape.

Be cautious about using this approach in leagues with commissioners, if they are on to you and warn you they may pull the plug on your team just when you intended to unmask it. This may mean 3 to 5 years of league payments and work down the drain if WIfs allows him to pull the plug on you.

Method 3

Pretend you are the New York Yankees and spend wildly in FA and elsewhere. Ignore scouting coaches and training. This may allow you 2 or 3 good seasons but in the long run probably will destroy the team. While the team may be FUBARed the league will probably be fine. Therefore this is the least effective approach and is more likely to FUBAR your reputation than the league.

method 4

Be a newbie "Know it all" - assume you know more than the owners who have been playing for years and ignore their advice. This will help other owners "trade rape" you. When a trade gets vetoed throw a hissy fit about it being your team then agree to the same trade with a worthless minor leaguer added by the rapist. Be sure to drop out of wifs after one year, leaving the mess to the next "know it all newbie"

Get 3 or 4 friends together to do the same things you are doing (trade rape and/or tanking)- this will decrease the chances of a veto on the trade rapes - especially if the trade comes up for discussion the chat board where you can each vouch for the others "purity" thereby maintaining the charade of honesty. In a private world this works best if one of you is league commish.

I'm in a world where a single team has done 1-3. The world, as you would expect, is developing problems.
