Did they drop the prospect money cap because they decided to lower the quality of IFAs? I haven't seen a star-potential IFA in weeks in any world.

There does seem to be a decline in the number of quality IFA's. I think it is just market correction, for so many seasons there has been a large number of Int'l talent, now it's few and far between.

I also think the quality of IFA have gone down. In 2 worlds where I have a 10 Intl Scouting (not the greatest but not bad) I went through the whole season without seeing a potential major leaguer.

Overall I think it's a good adjustment. It makes it more worthwhile for teams to chase free agents because they have a higher risk of losing cash by not signing IFA.

I suspect that it was just cheaper to change the IFAs than it would have been to reprogram the $30 million prospect limit into the budget adjustment window.

In CAPB we had the greatest group of INTs I've ever seen. It was ridiculous how many potential ML All-Stars appeared throughout the season.

Changing the quality of the IFAs would still have involved programming changes. They would not have put something like this in unless it was bundled in as part of a release.

Sometimes there just aren't good IFAs coming through in a particular world for a particular season. I suspect it's like flipping a coin. If you do it often enough, occasionally you hit a run of 10 tails in a row. Doesn't mean that the coin has been altered to be predisposed to tails. It's just the law of large numbers in play.

Cyclical folks. Gehrig has had a bumper crop this season.
