I signed a FA with options at the end of the year. His salary for this year show as 1.5 mil of which I am paying a pro-rated amount. I demoted him to AAA, after he cleared waivers. His contract expires at the end of the season, and he will have only one year of ML service. What will his salary be next year if I keep him in AAA? Does if revert back to minor league salary, ML minimum, or do I pay him 1.5 mil?

That wasn't very clear but I believe the answer is 500k.

The player in question has 7 years pro and not enough ML time for arbitration. If you leave him off the 40 for rollover, he should become a 6 year FA.

If you put him back on the 40 before rollover, he'll get 500k next season.
