2. Include as a statistic the # of Gold Gloves, Silver Sluggers, Cy Youngs, All-Stars, etc. awards a player has won. (If we're going to use that for judging nominations, might as well help people use it to vote.)

3. Include defensive statistics for position players such as +/- plays and fielding percentage for their primary position.







Included in this should be the % of runners thrown out trying to steal and perhaps the pitchers ERA stat when evaluating catchers.

i'd appreciate seeing if a player never won one but came in 2nd in voting 3 times and 3rd 2 other times. thats valid information when it comes down to time to cast ballots.
