My Queens Team
vs
Their Post Team

Box Score

I know things can happen from time to time but I don't understand how he blows me out. I just feel like every time it might even be close I get out coached or something and end up losing.

He shot:
PG: 4/7 3pt
SG: 4/7 FG 1/1 3pt
SF: 5/7 FG

I realize inside he had an advantage at the PF but I have him all around it would seem on the perimeter on defense.

I thought I had built a team that could win with defense but obviously not. Every single one of my players that went up against his PG/SG/SF all had him beat in SP/ATH and were high in DEF as well.

The only thing I see was STA, but my guys were moving in and out of the game to stay fresh where he ran his players into the ground in comparison, at least in the first half.

So please tell me what I am missing or overlooking so I can turn my teams around.

I am sure its not me you want advice from. Your team is YOUNGer and slower then his upfront. PIP killed you. Your team ratings seem good but you have 9 soph/Fr. That spells inconsistancy. Be patient.......You are Young!

Young has nothing to do with it. Its all IQs right? and all my IQs are in the B's at least for anyone who plays really. Also, like I said his PF would kill me probably and he did.

What I am wondering is my perimeter. How are they shooting so well when I go +1 and have them covered in all the ratings for defensive matchups.

Why do I blow the game in the second half always it seems, even last season it happened.

Game #1: Down by 3 with 9 mins and then lost by 12 (21 FTs attempted) #16 rated team
Game #2: Tied :52 seconds lose by 6 (14 FTs attempted)
Game #3: Actually held onto win 53-47 here (17 FTs attempted)
Game #4: Tied with 14:30 lose by 21 (Only 3 FTs attempted) #1 rated team
Game #5: Posted above was never even close and this was the easiest team in my mind (12 FTs attempted)
Game #6: Down by 1 with 3 mins and then lost by 9 (0 FTs attempted) 2nd time in 2 years had 0 FT attempts

your pg's aren't very good. You've got some good shooting guards, but really not much else. Also your team is young. I'd play Wendolski (sp?) at the 1, and Lyons at the 2.

Wendolski, lyons, Rupert, Cobble, Johnson - my starting 5.
2/3/2010 2:15 PM
crew, casares, hatcher, sullivan and frye - off the bench

Yeah- IQ is very important. B is ok. A is much better. I think it's most imporant at the pg position. Just a cursory glance.

Thank you guys for the input. I was just getting frustrated with the game or two I thought I should of pulled out.

damn this thread is a mf chameleon...I keep clicking the new thread and - surprise - it is not a new thread ... very sneaky...

I'd agree with piratesfan's assessment of your depth chart, although I'd use Finley before Frye. You're getting killed on the boards playing the 3 guards

Do you practice defense more than offense? TOs are another huge part of your problem and I've found that flex seems to need a little better IQ to run efficiently than other offenses (ignoring fastbreak which I've never used, and that is completely my observation), so if anything I may practice that more than m2m.

You can't really tell anything from a single game...Post just shot well at home that day. I do think you definitely overscheduled, 9 road games against good to very good teams with 9 underclassmen is a recipe for danger in this game.

Sorry I was trying to end it, not trying to trick it. I got some thoughts on the team thats all I wanted.
