Zone Defense: Blocked shots Topic

I'm going to use my team as an example here but I'm asking a more theoretical question.

I'm strongly considering playing Benjamin Schnakenberg as a SF this season in a 2-3 zone. Please ignore that he lacks the guard skills to be a SF.

When (if?) Schnakenberg fully develops he should be a 65 ath, 45 spd, 80 blk player. For the D3 level that's pretty good for shot blocking.

My limited understanding of the zone is that it averages the ratings of the players. Assuming that's true, does it matter at all if I play Schnakenberg as a SF, PF, or C in a 2-3 zone? This is anecdotal evidence at its worst but when I have two relatively equal players for blocks, the center always seems to end up with the most. Is that a reflection on position mattering or is it simply how the stat is assigned after the event is created (sim determines the zone blocks the shot .... then figures out whom to assign it and the center gets a disproportionate amount).

Since Schnakenberg doesn't bring a whole lot to the table, I'd like to be able to get the most out of his block rating. Am I safe doing that putting him as a SF in a 2-3 defense?

I would line my best athlete with some speed at the 5 he could block over a 1 shot a game. I play the 2-3 zone, my center doesnt have a lot of low post ability (31) , shot blocking (74), rebounding (98), ath (41), speed (49), def (57) which make up for his downfalls in the other areas - 4.4ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.1 bpg. this season.

He usually fares pretty well against other big guys in shutting them down.
