I'm new. I'm also trying to figure out how this thing works. When a prospect comes out, what determines when he signs?
a) Whenever the highest bidder remains the same for a number (let's say 3) of cycles
b) Whenever some club offers a magic number. Perhaps the guy initially asks for $2mil, but once anyone offers $10+mil, the guy signs that cycle
c) OR Whoever the highest bidder is after some number (let's say 15) of cycles
d) Whenever one club is offering X% more (say 200%) than any other club
I have to admit, I got burned earlier this season. An IFA told me I was #1 for a number of cycles (6, maybe?), but then while I was away at work another club came in and signed him. I think I had offered $2.2mil and the guy who signed him paid $2.5mil in the end.
