I have tried my best to build a team around my park. It seems as though I have failed. The last 2 years I had losing records at home and winning records on the road. This year after making adjustments to fix it, it seems worse than ever. I am 14-25 at home and 26-19 on the road.

Could anyone look at my team, Las Vegas in Kaline, and tell me what I am doing so horribly wrong.

My plan was for a pitchers park with no HR penalty. Get power guys, and control pitchers with a solid defense.

I concentrated on power and defense in Vegas to win my two WS.

At first glance, you don't have enough power. Your two best suck.

2 90s, 1 80, 2 70s and 3 60s?

Seems like a solid power team.

Las Vegas suppresses singles, double and triples and is neutral on home runs.

a depressed offensive environment puts more of a premium on baserunning efficiency, taking extra bases via stolen base, not running into outs, etc, keep the bunt setting low (you're usually giving away outs and not improving your run expectancy)... I would keep an eye on baserunning settings, keep them where you have at least a 70% stolen base success rate...when acquiring players take a second look at that baserunning rating...

that said i don't think improving this facet (short of putting together a team of speedsters) or really any other facet can give you much of a home field advantage in any park that isn't t extreme...i've yet to see evidence of owners being able to consistently build teams that do better at home in any park...

The 90s have poor splits. The 80 is good. 70s isn't really power.

Just took a quick look at the roster. Holmes 36 contact, Moreno 53 cnt, Tanaka 50 cnt, Hubbell 40 eye, Hudson 34 eye, Hentgen 54 eye, Green 26 cnt, White 34 cnt, Greene 43 cnt 32 eye, Leonard 56 cnt 24 eye, Magee 21 cnt 52 eye. Those are some awful numbers. Too many guys who either can't recognize a good pitch and can't hit it if they do! You're team BA is .240. SLG is .367. That's not a power team, it's a bad team. Just because a guy has a high PWR rating doesn't mean he's gonna hit. Those bad eye and contact ratings keep them from hitting at all. Pitching staff is the only thing keeping you in the game at all. I'm not surprised by the 14-25 home record, but I'm amazed at the 26-19 road tally.

For some reason soon after I started this thread I went on a road trip...6 game winning streak.

Something is very odd.

you started this thread 24 hours or 3 cycles ago - in which world are you playing 6 games a day?

Ok...since I posted my original post I went 2-3 at home and 10-2 on the road.

Since the away parks are not all the same, what rating could make my team suck so bad at my stadium, and play really good EVERYWHERE else?

If my home and away record were figured over 162 games...

Home 58-104

Away 102-60

Hookers at home.

Hookers make you play worse?

The burning is a distraction.
