also, i would suggest that draft order is determined by each roster's average player salary instead of cumulative. otherwise there's an advantage to the person whose nomination is drafted first, since he only has one player on the payroll instead of two to start off.

what about players that pretty much split their career in different conferences? Does this matter?

I guess what confused me was when you posted this:

so, for example, someone from the east could say Kobe Bryant and everyone from the East would use a different Kobe season, despite Kobe playing his entire career in the west. Do I have a grasp on this?
