Draft Order Oddity Topic

Maybe someone here can help me figure this out. League just rolloed. Last season my team finished at 100-62, tied for the division, but lost in a tie-breaker. Overall another AL team won 104, Trop won 100 (and edged me in the tie-breaker) and an NL team also won 100.

Both of the teams that won 100 besides mine advanced further than me. I lost in the Div Series to the 104 win team.

Basically I finished in 2nd in the division and advanced the least in the playoffs, yet I'm picking behind the other two 100-win teams in the Rule 5 and Amateur drafts.

How is that possible???

From the draft order page help:

"Draft order is based on the previous season's regular season winning percentage. The worst team gets the first pick. If multiple teams have the same winning percentage, the tiebreaker is run differential then runs scored then coin flip."

In other words, postseason performance has zero to do with draft order.

That's understood about postseason performance. But, I believe that the team that beat him to win the division tie break has the better pick. That's ridiculous.

Well whats the tie breaker for the playoffs? If its not the same as the one for the draft, well then this will happen.

For playoffs tiebreak is head to head record.

it is ridiculous and should change, but run differential is how it's done. not sure in which direction, though.
