What are the tie breakers for the wildcardspots in the playoffs?

The HELP menus are your friends -

"Tiebreakers - A tiebreaker system is used if two or more teams tie for a playoff berth. Head-to-head record is used first, then division record, then run differential, then last season's record and finally a coin flip."

"If everything else is tied, we check your HOF status and count your forum posts"

Is division record used if it is for a wildcard berth and the teams are in different divisions?

So yes. May not be "Fair" but that's the way it is.

Hell, fair would be a one-game playoff. Why don't they do that?

I think I remember reading something about it being a coding nightmare to add one-game playoffs to the schedule so they do it this way instead.

A on-game playoff would be a total crapshoot. At least with the current tiebreaker rules, you pretty much know exactly what needs to happen going into the last couple of games to get your spot. Just like the NFL.

I see both sides of the coin regarding this issue. A one game playoff would certainly make thing fun.

TLow A Wildcard... 3 teams tied for the 2nd WC spot. H2H records were as follows T1 v T2 8-8, T2 v T3 6-6, T3 v T1 7-4. Does Team 3 get the tiebreak since it had a better combined H2H record or does it go to Division record?

I believe if it's more than 2 teams, then it is a combined H2H tiebreaker:

T1 - 15-12
T2 - 14-14
T3 - 10-13

Looks like T1.
