Anyone know how the Home Run Derby contestants are chosen? Every year there seems to be guys who get snubbed for other guys with less HR, worse AVG and worse SLG.

I believe they need to be a member of the All-Star roster. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

Anybody ever notice that in the derby you'll see 325 ft HRs down LF even thogh the fence is 330 ft away?

I've also seen 375 ft HR's to CF.

I wish that all HR distances appeared in regular season HR line scores.
