Fair Play Guidelines? Topic

Anyone know where to find them?

I can't find them either. Searching on "Failure to Field a Competitive Team" or "Fair Play Guidelines" in the knowledge base doesn't give any meaningful results.

I worry that rather than actually enforce the rules they made (which they seem completely unwilling to do) they are watering down the rules so that no one can be replaced for tanking.

"In order for a user to be stripped of his/her Hardball Dynasty franchise, one of the three following conditions MUST be met (no exceptions, even for private worlds at the start of a new season)

So now a private world can't even kick out tankers...awesome. What else can WIS do to screw stuff up?

in HBD...Admin tab ---> Help ---> Terms ---> FAIR PLAY Fair play rules are posted on the main website and can be viewed by clicking here.

No idea where they are on the main website, I can't find them either. Considering they aren't worth anything, WIS probably doesn't want people actually analyzing it.

From the main page (your "locker"), scroll down to "Terms of Use" at the bottom of page and click to that page. Scroll down that page and you'll see a link to the Fair Play page.

So does that mean WIS will no longer cooperate with private worlds that have set more stringent guidelines?

Good question, I submitted a ticket. In NCAA, all 32 owners have agreed to a set of rules (just like other good private worlds). It will be ridiculous if they try to tell us we aren't allowed to set more stringent rules than the awful ones they have.

thanks tec and hopkinsheel

all private worlds should encourage their owners not to re-up until they change their stance. They are only doing that because they dont want to hurt the bottom line. By hurting it worse in protest, they will have to re-think their stance.

If this is truly the case, then they have set a horrible, horrible, horrible precedent.

A private world should be just that . . . a group of owners that all want to play together. If one turns out to be a misfit, for whatever reason, there is now no recourse to remove them from the world unless they have violated one of these very extreme guidelines.

That is just not right.

The way I see it, they are providing three additional, and obvious reasons for an owner to be removed, beyond the traditional "abandonment."
