anyone have a player with similar bat in the majors? I just wonder if he will be worth bringing up, assume he's done developing.

I mean, he isn't very good, his eye being his only saving grace and even that can only go so far. He'll strike out a ton with little power and those splits won't yield much, either. He has below average speed, an average glove and average-to-below-average DUR/HEALTH. I would look for a better option, but I guess if you absolutely need him in the ML, play him at 1B, or LF and don't expect much offensive production.

In those cases, so-called "triple outcome" players -- lots of Ks, BBs and HRs -- can be decent major-leaguers. With this guy's average power and so-so splits, I think you're looking at a guy who will produce something like a .225/.300/.300 line, with lots of Ks and BBs. Probably not worth a major-league roster spot.

If you ABSOLUTELY have nobody else, you can use him off the bench. If he gets more than 150 or so plate appearances you're in really bad shape. Another problem with him is he's y and has reverse platoon splits. That is, he hits ies better than righties. the whole point of having a handed stick is you want him to hit a right handed pitcher. This is the kind of guy I like to keep stashed in AAA because you can call him up when rosters expand and give some of your regualars an occasional rest, plus you play in the NL and he can hit better than a pitcher.

He's garbage. If he had 95 power, he would be semi-useful (though much less so since the update reduced HR's), and without that he's pretty much useless.
