about his number of starts and his WE drops 7 after starting 6/10 games, does that mean he is going to transfer? I plan on starting him the rest of the season now that we're in conference play. If I started him during the CT would that help?

If you get a message like, "thanks i knew you wouldn't let me down", after starting him he should stay. I do not believe the CT help.

I saw a player's WE drop 28 points after not starting 3 straight games, but he got all but 8 back by starting the rest of the season. If you space them out, you can get away with 5-10 games of non starting without the WE dropping.
