Matchups and the new release Topic

Since they made matchups matter more in the new release, has anything been done to allow the defense to dictate the matchups?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean but it would be awesome if you can have a player defend a particular player regardless of what position he is playing. So if for example you have a great defensive SF but your SG doesn't defend too well and the other team's SG is a stud offensively you aren't forced to play your 30bh/50pass SF at SG but he would still be able to defend that SG.

That's exactly what I am talking about.

You also get situations were the offense might switch up PF/C in order to create more favorable matchups.

It seems that the change might represent a weakening of man defense.

This would be a great addition to the game... I'd let Seble know about this, it's something that would make the game more realistic. And more like you are actually coaching a team...

That depends: Does it work both ways, can a player who massively outclasses his opponent on defense truly make an opposing player have a miserable day as well, in other words, do the matchups go both ways? ANd yes the other guy coudl switch<> SO could you, its taking a gamble if he does it. . .

It's important to realise that in RL it's the defense that dictates who guards who. I think this would be a great addition.

i would like to be able to lock my defenders to a player rather than a positon..... but than there are so many 5 man combinations on the floor throughout the game that this might be tuff to do
