Im pretty certain this has been asked, but I cant find it anywhere. I have some money in my salary budget and were getting towards the end of free agency. One of my players is a free agent next year. If I resign him now, will his new contract go into affect this year or next? In other words, if I give him a bonus this year (season hasnt started yet) will the bonus be paid now or later?
