problem with 00 Pedro is hs 217IP...you need to surround him with 2 300 IP guys which means 1 will be crappy.

Maybe I'm not experienced enough, but I can't make any of the three pitchers work for an $80 OL. They all cost too much that it leave major deficiencies on the rest of my roster. I don't feel it's worth going after one great (expensive) player. Just my 2 cents.

Jammiesworld -- Is that the team you have in the Pounding Beavers league? I'm in that league with you, and I also have the $18 MM Walsh. Trying to make it work with `07 Joss and Bill Burns, with Elmer Steele hanging around in the bullpen for possible spot starts in case I've screwed up my fatigue calculations.

Pedro's the most dominant by far. However, I'd never shell out the $/IP for any of them in an OL. Wouldn't call any of them "truly affordable." In rare cases maybe Maddux since he has few enough innings for his pricetag not to cripple your offense but enough to start nearly every other game in the playoffs.

Pedro is the absolute best, with 95 Greg a close second. But unless you select the right starting pitchers around him, Pedro's measly 217 innings will kill you and cost you a lot of money.

I have not had much luck with WJ no matter what cap I use him in. He used to be lights out but I think those days are gone. GM will always be respectful for you. Pedro 00 is great but you better have a tireless bullpen to support those 217 IP.
