I drafted a Rule 5 player in the rule 5 draft who still had 3 options.

I placed him on the ML Roster, then placed him on waivers/offer back. He cleared these.

My question is this: If I bring him back up to the majors this season, but want to demote him again later, will he have to go through waivers (or even offer back)again, or is he treated like any other player with minor league options still available?

Once he is declined, he is treated the same as any other player.
