...and its all because of the Montevallo game and you guys berating me for not gameplanning better...I just won the CT with my Armstrong Atlantic State Tark team...first CT title, first NT appearance, and in all honesty it probably wouldn't have happened had I not gotten "screwed" in the Montevallo game. I'm just so pumped right now and would like you all to share in this as well, especially for as belligerent and stubborn I have been. Thank you all and Tkimble, I'd be remissed if I didn't do/say this a few times, because I actually did it when I saw the result...

I just really wanted everyone to share in this because if it wasn't for the Montevallo game and other users telling me that I was/am a ****** coach, this never would have happened. This isn't meant to rub it in anyone's face, its just to express joy and appreciation, and I hope people see it for what it is. I don't plan to do this ever again fwiw.

An upset doesn't make you a good coach. Your RPI is still not close to NT-bid worthy, despite the recent "run". Looking at your schedule, it looks at though there is only 1 good team in your conference (RPI 23) and 2 other decent teams (RPIs in 60's and 70's). You only played 1 of those team (middle RPI) in the CT; its not like you ran through a buzz saw there.

I don't mean to rip you too hard, but I think you stand to be much more successful if you listened to what people say on here more often. You can avoid the ZHawks of the world on here and still glisten many tips from good guys/gals.

Trust me, I know the perfect storm happened for me to win the CT, and I'll be the first person to tell you that I'm not a good/that good of a coach. I also err on the side of doing things myself as opposed to asking/wanting help and I've stated this before...I don't want to become a clone of another coach out there, I want to win or lose on my own merits, regardless of how good or bad I am and/or my team is, period.

I created this thread to mainly acknowledge that my critics helped me if for nothing else by saying, you need to gameplan always and that I probably wouldn't have won my CT if not for those comments. I'm pumped, what can I say.

Colonels, although your posts infuriate me sometimes, I have to offer my congratulations on your win. No matter the circumstances surrounding your first CT and NT bid it is always sweet.

LOL. you have never the challenge open enough for me to even see it. you do realize like half of d2 tark tries to schedule me every season? now, i'm not denying that if i had seen your request, i wouldn't have accepted it. why? because i care about this team and even beating your team by 100 would drive my rpi and tournament seeding down more than losing to the teams i do schedule ever could.
