Resigning my designated FA Topic

Last week I designated a player for assignment. He wasn't claimed by anyone else, and is now a free agent.

On the FA screen, he's asking for a MinL contract of $191,000, which is the prorated amount of the league min ML salary.

If I sign him and assign him to a MinL roster, do I have to pay him $191K more for the rest of the season? Or, since I'm already paying him $360K for the season, does that cover the $191?

Seems silly that I would have to pay him twice, but I can't find this situation documented anywhere.

Anyone know for sure?

It'll end up being the same amount of money. You'll pay him $191k when you resign him, but the original amount will go down by $191k.
