The rare +- play.. Topic

Yesterday my RF had a +- play. He made an error on the flyball, how could he have made a + play after that? Any ideas?

Also odd to me is that he didn't get credited(?) with a - play, just the + shows up in the stats.

There's a glossary in the box score that tells you what a +- play is.

Cool. I see it now. Also, I saw that if you scroll over it in the play by play it tells you what it means. Thanks for the help.

He dropped a ball that normally would have fallen in for a base hit.

He gets a + for getting to the ball.

No - because he's already getting an error. No need for a double penalty by also giving him a -.
