Does the fielding rating of your bench coach influence your players fielding development?

Bench coaches have a small effect on all phases of that level's development.

The key is that they have effect on "that Level". Hiring a fielding instructor as your ML bench coach won't help your star prospect develop his glove unless he's on the 25 man roster.

Actually the "key" is that the BC may sign as FI next season for 750k and you can avoid the bidding war for FI. But that's a strategy that is accepted by most vets and despised by almost everyone who doesn't get a 90 FI.

Has this actually happened that a coach will WILLINGLY request a demotion?

and something that is going to be fixed in the next update. A coach turning down 5 mil as a fielding coach to accept a $600k bench coach job will be a thing of the past.

Not debating the strategy, but that was what was communicated via a ticket sent by someon in Bo.

I shouldn't say because I use this strategy but, yes, they will do revert back to FI. Sometimes they will say "Looking at all franchises" but they look for FI jobs.
