Order in which recruits drop down Topic

There is a guard in DIII Smith who I've been recruiting since day 1, but he dropped down to a different team first and I cannot seem to find a logical reason why. The thing that really bugs me is this is a first year coach in Smith while I have been coaching for 8 seasons with perfect (A+) reputation/loyalty. School prestige is the same grade (B-), but I have made the postseason the past 5 seasons, and they have made the postseason only the last 2, and looking at their history there is no way they have a higher B-. Conference prestiges are also both same letter grade (C). I am mostly ****** because this player dropped down 4-5 cycles ago and still has not dropped to me yet. I have made every promise except a start and sent both CV and HV to have everything rejected because I am still a 'back-up'. The school has 5 senior guards so I don't think he would promise a start.

I should really stop ranting and just let whoever cares look up the info. The school is Mt. St. Vincent in Smith DIII and obviously my school is Springfield, not sure how to post a link.

If you are in Smith and could post a link to the team page that would be great. Also if nelsonba25 is reading this, please tell me if you did something special or promised a start.

Any ideas why this happened? If you need more info, just let me know and I can post it. So far I am having a lot of bad bad luck recruiting this season so I am a little frustrated by several things right now...

Its called a pull down. Also, whats the distance factor?

close for both, 10 for him, 110 for me.

Under 70 means he could be open to listen to him from the go. If not, he probably spent 1400 dollars (10ish) scouting visits and pull him down.

under 70 is a pretty magic number it would seem

so whats the best way to pull down a recruit? Does sending a bunch of scouting visits really pull a guy down? I've never really got a response from scouting a recruit.

it all depends on who you ask and the recruit. But sending scouting trips does help to pull a guy down to you. You really have to be careful though not to spend your money on the scouting trips only to have someone in the division up step in and take the guy from you.

Scouting visits are the best way to pull down, no doubt about it.

has anyone been able to pull down a guy who rejects their phone calls and gives no chance of going to their school?
