How long must a player be on waivers before his price begins/continues to decrease? I am $698 dollars short of getting the player I want, and am curious when his salary is most likely to go down. Thanks.

They go down every day.

Your not gonna get much help from the waiver wire the same players are on it every day. What if sports doesn't seem to want to change the way they do it .. When I first joined in 02 at about 15 minutes past the hour new players were put on the WW and there were more to choose from but now you see the same names over and over.. The way I understand it they deduct 4 percent from the players salary and add 10 percent when you draft him .. Good luck

While the present situation may not match your recollection, you can definitely use the wire to your advantage. I make one or two big moves per season.

You have to be patient. Keep in mind that the waiver wire is the waiver wire. It's a bunch of guys who were dumped by other people. There's a selection bias at work there. Aside from that, there's a sprinkling of guys added randomishly from day to day.

Every now and then, you can pluck a guy off there after jiggling your PA, IP and $ around. You can't rely on being able to do it at any given moment.
