I recruited a freshman who has a 29 work ethic. I want to red shirt him. I realize that his WE will drop. If it does drop to a level that I find undesirable, if I that the red shirt off immediately, will it return to the level it was before I put the red shirt on?

Also if the Work ethic dropped by 6 like it did with another player I had red shirted in the past, would a 23 work ethic be a horribly low level to be able to grow over the next 5 years?

If you rescind a RS, the WE will go back to the level it was before. A WE drop of 6 isn't so bad. I think the extra year of improvement would make up for the drop in WE.

At what point do you think WE is a really bad number? I am still new and trying to gage when I should take a WE hit and at what cost it is worth it.

Anything below 20 WE is my limit, but that depends on potential nowadays.

Others might have another limit, but that is my cut off as they wont improve that much with anything less then 20 WE with how I run my practice schedule.
