So while I've got HBD figured out, for some reason after a few seasons of HD I still have a lot of learning to do. Ergo, this will be a very stupid question for a lot of people, but I just genuinely need a bit of help.

For this upcoming season, I would like to use a formation that utilizes 3 guards (one PG and two SG). However, I cannot figure out exactly how to make that possible. No matter what primary offensive formation I set for my game plan, my depth chart still has spaces for PG-SG-SF-PF-C. I know people use 3-guard formations in this game, so how do I set my team up like that? Perhaps I'm having trouble because our world (Tarkanian) is just pre-recruiting and all the game planning options aren't available yet? Or is there just some menu screen or option that I'm missing?

Just put one of the guards into the SF slot. You aren't restricted by the positional lineup. A center can play PF, a PG can play SG, etc.

If you put a guard into the SF slot, he needs to have decent rebounding...at least 20 for DIII, I think

You would just put one of the SGs in the SF spot in the depth chart. You don't actually change the positions themselves.

Set your Depth chart to have your 3 guards on it:

ie: As WIS has the Depth chart at PG, SG, SF, PF, C

Under those headings you put in the guys you want to start so you want:

PG, SG, SG, PF, C and thats how you would set it up on your depth chart.
