this is actually kind of funny.

Just in the Gulf South Conference, (Allen)...some pointspreads for game one.

#5 Henderson St. is a 116 point favorite over Limestone.
#6 Erskine is a 71 point favorite over Christian Brothers
#1 Delta St. is a 47 point favorite over #25 Tiffin,
#8 Lincoln Memorial is an 89 point favorite over Lane
Ouachita Baptist is a 41 point favorite over Lewis

i will take the points!
5/20/2010 12:44 AM
To chip in on that

The North American Conf. (Also D2 allen) has the following...

#4 WVWC -111 vs. S. Dakota

#3 Slippery Rock -84 vs. N. Dakota st.

#2 S. New Hampshire -95 vs. SW Baptist

9 of the 12 games are +/- 24 points or more except 2 games are -1 and one which a pick'em

Ya, but Limestone sucks. I'd totally take Hendu St and give the points. (Luv ya rockindock :)

Why are we worrying about point spreads? They are not part of the results at all.

I understand they are off but I hope seble puts this at the BOTTOM of his list.

They are part of WISbook ... which is a part of the game for some people.

yeah, but if you've ever done WISbook, those spreads aren't all that unusual. Yes they're big, and yes they likely won't be covered, but its not a result of the new engine, you could see that under the old engine.

Tazzer.... Miami -245 is a product of the new engine bud... neither the book nor U have ever seen -245.... this is also a FCP team that lost by 40 in their exibition game to a team over 100 points below them

It might not be an issue that effects the outcome... but fix it... Gaud I get tired of people saying "It's not an important issue", yeah it is.... -245 is rediculous so fix it or delete it till it's right.

I'd have to imagine the spreads being out of whack have to be symptomatic of more serious engine troubles, hence the pushback of games to 5/24 in Allen.
5/20/2010 9:46 AM
They won't fix it until you submit a ticket.

yeah, never seen that one before, but it wasn't listed above, so how was I to know? The ones above are not that out of line w/ what I've seen before.

If we are complaining about spreads, sounds like there must not be any other pressing issues with the new engine and I am now looking forward to it.

Get it? "Pressing" issues!

^five for getting it.

Miami's a 265-point favorite, but the over-under is 172. This means that the best bookies in Fake Vegas think that Miami will win 219 to -46.
