I've never paid much attention to what sim ais do, but have they always used redshirts? Was sort of surprised to see a sim controlled team have a redshirt on a JR. Was a recruit signed by sim ai, and they have not had a coach ever sense hes been on the roster so no human could have done anything.

I was looking at potential div II teams to move up to in wooden and found it. Was kind of surprised to see it and didn't know if it ever happened before, or was suppolse to happen.

Does HD have Medical Hardships?

In GD that happens on SIMAI teams sometimes.

Doesn't say anything in his statistical profile about a Medical redshirt, and we're in season 44 now, so this may be a glitch in the system. Or it could be something entirely new, who knows?

The player was a transfer from Seattle. I can't look around at teams in Wooden, but could it be that he was somehow redshirted right before he transferred, and the redshirt stayed on (assuming that Seattle has a human coach).

Seattle's had a human coach for several seasons, with the same coach now in his 4th year. So your scenario is a possibility

Yes, there are medical hardships but they're very very rare. You can't apply for them. WIS just grants them

Yeah, I guess its possible he put it on and then cut him (if you can cut a redshirted player?) and then during recruiting the redshirt somehow stayed on him. I guess the only person who really would know would be him.
