All three of my DIII recruits have told me that they'll sign when it's time, do I need to keep using my budget on them or are they as good as locked up?

if a player is considering you only and you've offered a scholarship then you do not need to continue to spend and they will sign.

If you're in a battle and they give you some indication they want to sign or that you're their favorite you should keep an eye on it to make sure the other team doesn't take the lead.

My prized recruit is being courted by myself and another school with similar prestige, but I've been the front runner the entire time and he has said he cannot wait to sign. I'm going to assume he's mine unless something drastic happens, but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the info.

They can't sign until tomorrow at 5:01 PM (Pacfic time) in IBA. As long as nobody jumps on them, they will sign. You got to wait until the signing period begins before players start getting taken off the board.

Yeah typically recruits sign in 3 big batches I think. First is right at signings, if no one else is on the considering list.

Second time is the morning after signings, if a battle is kinda close, but one school has a significant lead.

Third time is for close battles and those recruits usually sign the morning of the last day in order to give the loser 12 hours to find a backup plan.

I've had a couple experiences where I thought i had a guy, but then a team swoops out of nowhere and steals him cuz I stopped spending on him. I would continue to send him letters, phone calls, and maybe a home visit if he lives really close.
