I also missed out on a guy who - to my untrained eye - looked like maybe the best freshman of the bunch because "the WCAA has a maximum limitation of 6 players per class." Something I didn't see in the help anywhere.

Combs above, is a transfer that I'll have for only one year. Everyone else is a freshman. Bold equals high potential. Italics equals low potential. Thoughts?

i dont get it. probably the poor formating.

I also have an exhibition scheduled for 5.25.10, but I seem to only have my 3 returning players to put into my depth charts or do anything else with. How do I work my freshmen and transfer in?

From the FAQ

Q: Is there a limit to how many recruits I can sign in one recruiting class?
A: There is no limit to recruits in one class, BUT there is a limit of 6 players in each eligibility class. In other words, you can't have more than 6 freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors. A redshirted player counts as his eligibility class, so a redshirt freshman (who is truly a sophomore) still counts as a freshmen in the 6 player limit. If you have more than 6 scholarships open, you can target JUCOs or transfers as those players won't be considered freshmen. You could also opt to not fill all of your scholarships and take walkons.

Completely missed that somehow. Oh well, my own fault. It doesn't look like anyone signed the guy who wanted to sign as my 7th, so I added him to my watch list. Might he go to a JUCO? If so, will his desire to come to my school carry over and make him someone I might be able to target in the future?

And how did I do with the rest of the guys (DIII)?

I would say if he's inel, the odds are about 66% he shows up, 33% he goes juco and 1% he passes his sat and shows up eligible. If he goes juco, the effort will carry over, but not at the same ratio you've spent. Ex. if you put 4 hvisits into him, he will probably consider you this year, but he will probably not show up next year considering you.

Welcome, z. It's been a while. Overall not a bad class for a first effort. Speed for your PGs is low and Davis won't get many rebounds. I like Woodruff and Zimmerman a lot.

You will be able to set your depth chart, distribution, and practice plan the morning of your first exhibition game. You should be able to see your roster about 3AM ET right after the 2AM games run.

Good Luck and I hope you have fun with HD.

Thanks for the welcome Weena. I figured it was about time I branched out some, though I have to say I think I'm more lost with HD so far than I ever remember being with SLB or HBD.Any suggestions for what to do with this squad? I figure this season is going to be one where I just have to pay my dues and won't win much (I have only one meaningful returning player, a SR PG). I was thinking of trying to go to a 2-3/3-2 based on matchups, because (from what I've seen in the forums) that might help hide Souliere a bit on post D and allow him to maximize his impact with the plus shot blocking.Make sense? Also, I was thinking of red-shirting Swart to maybe help him boost his speed and maximize his BH and P ratings' high potential. As I understand it from reading the forums, I can redshirt him and then - if he gets angry and his WE drops - simply take it off and suffer no long-term ramifications. Is that correct? Does it make sense, in anyone's opinion, to reshirt him now while I have 2 SR. Guards and have him available for that extra (hopefully fully-developed) season on the back end?

Yeah, Zone is good for hiding low D players as long as you don't have too many to hide. I would not recommend redshirting Swart. I would use him right now as your backup PG because you sure as heck don't want Mount in there.

You also get an e-mail at the beginning of recruiting that basically tells you the same thing.

Had to recruit 11 (St. Joesphs) and managed to sign 10. Got caught with the 6 freshman signing rule on 2 PF's and a PG. Could use the PF but the PG was no problem.

I understand that 1 walkon will not cause a development penalty for team. And that he is one and gone if I don't give him a schloarship. Meaning the team will have 2 recruits to find next year.

Switching offense from tri to motion - most recruits played motion but returning super stud played tri.

check the team out and let me know.
