What happens to a guy who gets traded during the rule 5 roster freeze time but the trade is not approved until after the rule 5? Is the trade automatically nullified? Or does the team acquiring the player lose him in the rule 5?

Rule 5 draft nullifies the trade, if the guy is taken in the draft; I'm assuming he is NOT on his orginal team's 40 man Roster...
