Other than not having a player available on the bench, what are the ramifications, if any of having a player drop blow a 2.0?

If he's below a 2.0, might he transfer, or can he perhaps fail out of school altogether (freeing up a scholarship)?

Does having players become ineligible or fail impact the school's prestige or the coach's reputation, loyalty, or likelihood of being fired?

Found part of my answer - from the FAQ:

Q: What happens if one of my players becomes academically ineligible?
A: Couple of things will happen - you'll lose the player for the next semester (he'll still be on the roster and can practice but just won't be eligible to play). If his cumulative GPA is still not above 2.0 at the end of the next semester, he'll be academically ineligible for another semester. In addition, each time you lose a player to academics, your reputation will take a hit. Remember, these kids are here to get an education. This isn't a minor league program for the NBA you know.

Still interested in feedback on the rest.

There is no other impact on the coach or team other than the rep hit. Of course, if you get a lot of rep hits then that can impact other things. If a player is academically ineligible at the end of the season he will attend "summer school" and be eligible at the beginning of the following season. Attending summer school will reduce his off-season growth.
