Considering redshirt Topic

I have a freshman center that likely won't be seeing any playing time. He might be decent at some point. Should I consider trying to redshirt him? What are the chances of him accepting it if I haven't mentioned anything to him about it during recruiting? What are the work ethic drop possibilities?

go ahead and try it, if he doesnt take it, just rescind it and your work ethic will come back. Some guys try it four or five times to get them to take it. If you do that your work ethic gets worse each time, but again, you can always rescind it and get work ethic back to normal.
