Okay maybe someone can help make some sense out of this for me. I have a Senior on my team that is a transfer. In his previous 3 seasons he averaged 6 mins a game. He has a work ethic of 11, but I was not concerned about that because he already knows our system and will only play one season.

Here's the problem...in the very first exhibition game I started the kid and he played a total of 18 minutes, probably the most he's seen in his entire career at one time. However when ratings were updated after the game, this kid actually LOST 4 points from his rating (1 point in four different categories). That seems pretty ridiculous to me.

And to make matters worse, I looked around for a couple of other players with a WE of 11 and found a few that hardly played at all in their first exhibition games. But they didn't lose anything at all.

I have a ticket in and am waiting to hear back. But has anyone else this happening? Is this the kind of nonsense that we can expect from the new engine? I certainly hope not!

Just some additional info before someone asks. There is not a single category for this player where his practice time is any lower than 9 mins at worse. And two of the categories where the kid lost points have practice time of 10 and 12 mins respectively. Not to mention the fact that is was an Exhibition Game. How does a player start and play almost 20 mins in a game for the first time in his career but still has his rating drop 4 points after a lousy exhibition game. What gives?

What were his practice minutes in the categories he dropped in?

Still waiting for an answer on this from WIS. I'm also VERY interested in seeing what happens with this guy's rating after today's 2nd exhibition game. Will keep you posted.

Well I just heard from Support and the kid's ratings have been restored. And I'm told he should improve normally from this point forward. Interesting part is that they said this was indeed a result of the new engine, but that only a few players were affected. Strange indeed, but hopefully they are on top of the situation.
