Thoughts regarding today’s patch... Topic

I love the game and was not a beta tester. I also appreciate the work by the admins and developers o improv the game. However, I want to voice my opinion that the latest patch was (while well-intentioned) too early. You should not be in such a rush to implement without extended beta-testing.

That being said, I like the new patch, but not noticing that ineligibles were flunking out was a pretty big oversight.

Now can we get an NBA level added in the Hoops Dynasty. :)

. . . how was it too early? If something was not happening that should have been happening, why would there be any impetus to wait?

I think he means that the new engine was too early, not the specific patch for today. ..?

the new engine is phenomenal. i'm sorry that it ruined excel spreadsheet dynasty for some of you.

Well. So far so good, we will see.

Who said the excel spreadsheets are ruined? You just need to tweak them. A good player last engine is still a good player this engine.

yup. you just need to add a higher multiplier to his defense rating and actually consider stamina for once.

Why do you have to consider stamina? Looks to me like darn near every recruit still has high potential stamina, so they'll all be 80+ by jr year anyway. This just means that young teams have zero chance at competing now. That's really the only stamina related difference. Fun!

And how many real life teams start a bunch of sophomores and freshmen and are anything but wildly inconsistent anyway?

I don't pay attention to D3 in real life, which is really where this problem lies, so I couldn't tell you. In D1, it happens...but you get more of a finished product there so it's not really relevant to my point.

Also, wildly inconsistent would be a huge upgrade over what is happening to inexperienced D3 teams now (or at least the ones that I've looked at). Right now it's just to what degree will they get blown out, as opposed to actually being in a game or 2 (and still losing).

In dIII, where there is less overall talent, I would imagine that experience becomes even MORE important. Carmello Anthony doesn't come to division three.
