New engine minutes played error? Topic

its those small wrinkles in the space-time continuum that make WIS possible

nope my team came out to 199.6 min when summing average minutes and 1398min/7games=199.7 min when summing total minutes, just rounding errors.

Your UTEP team is only 201.9 min when summing average minutes and 1002min/5games=200.4 min when summing total minute stats.

The small 2 min difference can be easily explained if most of your players average numbers were rounded up. For example if player x averaged 12.45 min, it would be recorded as 12.5 min. Has nothing to do with the engine.

mine came out to exactly 2200 through 11 games.

on the other had, i do have a small ethical delimma...

lets just say, hypothetically, that a coach has a player get hurt.

And, it was not one of those injuries where he can return to the game. He sits out the rest of the game after the injury (whole second half.. for instance)

And then, when you look for the injury email from your trainer... there is none. and when you look at your depth chart, the kid is listed at 100%.

If something like that were to hppen to you.... hypothetically... what would you do? and dont worry about the fact that you have some real big games coming up and this kid is one of your leading scorers.

How would that account for total minutes being 1002, though? If you go through each boxscore and add up the minutes played, it equals 200. So why would there be an extra two in the overall stats, when those two didn't exist in the actual boxscores?

2 guys coming in for mop up duty...they come in with less than a minute to go in the game, say they both come in with 20 seconds to go...the guy prior gets credit for that minute and the mopup gets credit for that minute as well, but they're credited with 1min because the sim can't/won't list them at 0 and rightfully so. I'm sure if seble broke it down in seconds played that you'd see that it adds up to 200 even.

Yours comes out to 1398 total minutes whereas it should be 1400. Mine was also 2 minutes off.

You're right, it's me. The old engine had the same issue, I just had to search through a bunch of old sheets to find it. Most come out like olddave's, even.

Disregard post...sorry for wasting your time.

He must have gotten some dust in his wizard sleeve and rinsed it out between games. I'd act accordingly.

I'd submit a ticket. I'm finding it's also possible to look at other team's health ratings whereas I didn't think it was possible to see that before.

If he's listed as 100%, I don't think the engine would see him any differently. Since he's not a starter, I wouldn't worry or change anything unless I get that email or see his health drop.

What I'm saying is that if you literally go through the box and add up every player's minutes in every game, it comes out to 1000. On his stats page, it comes out to 1002.

Olddave has discovered a glitch in this game-- health from game to game is apparently not allowed to go below 100%. Better to fix the glitch. Injuries are supposed to be less random and more frequent now due to DUR meaning more, so it's best to see how that plays out...

yeah, thats what I am thinking I would do..... if it happened to me. ;-)

hopefully they would be able to correct the mistake and lower my players health accordingly.

by the way, you could allways see opponents health ratings on the DT screen. if you dont DT much and arent looking for it, you woulnt likely see it.
