No lineup adjustment for injury Topic

I've only got my PF set at 2 deep and lost the starter to injury 2 minutes in.

The backup ended up playing 33 minutes, despite being set at fairly fresh.

Why doesn't the new engine make adjustments for this? The old one used to.

I do recall on the release notes that the new engine would "follow the depth chart settings more closely"

Well, i guess that's what WIS means my more closely

that is exactly what it means. if he isn't on the depth chart, he won't play unless there are no players on the chart eligible to play...

This isn't a step forward.

I might not want someone to play SF for example except in an emergency. Now, I've got to put him there and hope fatigue doesn't get him in the game.

So you put a guy at #3 on your depth chart as an emergency player there just to keep #2 from playing 40 minutes in case of a freak injury. #1 is set to "Fairly Fresh". #2 gets into foul trouble. I'd prefer #1 to come back in the game and play a little more tired but instead #3 will come in because the system won't know he's only an emergency player.

Who asked for this completely rigid adherence to your depth chart? This is just dumb.

I completely agree with Lizak, this is a step backwards.

I shouldn't have to put guys on the depth chart just in case there is an emergency, when I don't want them to play in the regular situation.

I didn't see any problem with the way the old depth charts were working. The computer actually made some adjustments since it is not possible for us to make them in-game.

Just wait until someone gets a good player severely injured in the final minutes of a blowout while the walkons sit on the bench because they are not on the depth chart.

Don't like it, then make smarter depth chart man. Put the walkons on it, set to mop up.

would it be difficult to set a category as "play only in case of injury"?

That's not a bad idea orrdc

But, what if I want my 3rd string PF to play C if one of my top 2 C's get injured. But I DO NOT want him to play C as a regular rotation. Then what do I do, smart guy?

I'll repeat my question: What was the problem with the old system?

the problem with the old system is that players were appearing in sometimes unexpected places and getting minutes other players needed
