You can't list a player twice for the same position.

I'd go 3-deep at each position and put the backup SF at either SG or PF

SF1, SF2, SG2, SF2 is not a valid depth chart, so not an option.

I haven't had many (any) blowouts so far, but going 4 deep at every position has resulted in a relatively even distribution of minutes for me.

I may be wrong, since I'm still new to this, but I was under the impression that the "out-of-position" penalty doesn't kick in until a player is 2 or more positions away from his "natural" position. Is that not correct?

Per Seble, there is NO out-of-position penalty in the new engine.

Correct. I would advise on not having a 2 deep depth chart due to this potential....not a big deal, but having a 3rd or 4th option at a position as an emergency PG or whatever is a good idea.

The blowout logic works differently if you use the fatigue setting. It will ignore the starter and go DOWN the list after that. I was told on my ticket that this was requested by a lot of coaches. I also don't think your walkon will see court time unless they are on the depth chart somewhere but that wasn't an official response, just my observation.

I don't like it but that's the way it goes.

For blowouts I would have those guys who might complain about minutes at the bottom of the depth chart at a position. Now, I guess you have to put them second to make sure they get minutes. But that also means they will play a lot even if you misjudge and the game is going to be closer than you thought (or perhaps making it closer because they play so much).

Seems to me the change made lineup subbing dumber and less flexible in this one situation.

Here is an example of my typical depth chart setting. I always go 4 deep. If I have multiple frosh that are not primary backups, they go into the 4th slot.

PGSG SFPF C

pg1 sg1 sf1 pf1 c1

pgbu sgbu sfbu pfbu cbu

sg1 pg1 pf1 c1 pf1

sgbu pgbu frosh cbu pfbu

Well, from what I understand, Seeble also said that he was relaxing the complaining about minutes bit. I haven't had anyone complain(Or in a position to complain about minutes). HAs anyone?

I had this So. complain about Minutes:

I had a Juco Jr. complain about his 9 minutes asking for 15. He's not anywhere close to getting that the rest of the year. He's the one I was trying to get minutes in the blowouts but the logic change was screwing me up there. One game I won by 50 points and he got only 6 minutes.
