Rotation Question Topic

I have three guards that will get the lion's share of PT for Rochester this season.

Henry Disalvo
Bill Dail
Eugene Tompkins

We run a triangle/zone. How should I set my rotations up? I'm pretty sure I want Dail starting at PG and Tompkins at SG, but let me know if you think that's wrong. My real questions arise when Disalvo is playing. With Disalvo and Tompkins on the floor together I'm not sure if I prefer Tompkins' BH and P bringing the ball up the court without any speed or Disalvo with his slightly more acceptable speed and lesser BH. I'm even more unsure with Disalvo and Dail on the court together. Dail is a better shooter but also a better passer. Not sure in which role he will do better. My thought is that he should bring the ball up as the PG and minimize Disalvo's distro so he just doesn't figure into the offense very much. He's mostly on the team for his defense anyway...

Bump. It seems to me that all the veterans are now too busy complaining about the new engine to answer the questions from the noobies like myself. I see lots of questions being ignored or answered insufficiently that would, a month ago, have been much more thoroughly addressed.

my personal opinion - if you are playing a team where you are likely to hit some 3s, i would start Dail and Tompkins. if you are playing a team where you want either extra SPD/DEF on the perimeter or need a guard to get to paint, i'd start Disalvo. Tompkins is much too slow against a quicker guard, so i'd probably do Dail/Disalvo most of the time.

you are definitely deep enough at guard/SF (outside of these 3 players as well) to vary your matchups depending upon your opponent's tendencies. this might even be the best strategy because you'll keep them guessing.

with regards to questions being ignored, it still happens even when we aren't complaining about the engine :-) it's happened to me before too.

your best bet is to find someone who is responsive, and don't be afraid to sitemail them if they are okay with it.
